Mirror-image capable for backup camera, but with a quirk.

I took a chance on this given conflicting info in the Q&A section. I needed a mirror-image for my backup camera (a wireless security camera mounted on my RV) and neither the description nor the answers made it clear that it had that capability. So I wired it up and found that it DOES have 4 orientation modes for both AV1 and AV2. It will display left-to-right OR right-to-left for EITHER top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top. The downside is that once that mode is set for one input, the other input will have the same orientation. So when you set the desired mirror-image for AV2 and then switch to AV1, you will find that AV1 is also mirror-image (including the on-screen-menu). Other than that quirk, this seems to be a fairly good product at a reasonable price.

This is a great small monitor for hobby stuff. It needs it’s own power supply not included. But I found a power adapter that worked perfect for me. But you still needed a small plug to attach to. links below. good luck.

Used this for a CCTV install where there was no tv or monitor in the garage. For $31 this thing does an AMAZING job! Plus I can flush mount it inside a house if need be. VERY GOOD picture for the $$$.. Owner very pleased

Very attractive price. Resolution is not as much as I would like. It is satisfactory enough from a safety standpoint. I am using it for a backup camera on my pickup. With the right camera this works fine for daylight or night time use. Recommend cameras with Sony chips.

It Works!

We replaced the old monitor that is connected to a camera in a horse trailer in our truck w/ this updated model. The wiring is all different, even though it’s the same brand, but my partner is an electrician, so knew how to McGyver so it will work. There seems to be quite a bit of glare, but iunit works, so we can see our horses when hauling them which is a big relief

Bright and Clear

I made a bracket to replace the stand and mounted the screen just below the radio on my pickup suspended from the air vents. I wired the trigger (power) wire into the reverse light wire so that it would turn on when the vehicle is in reverse. It works great and it is bright and clear with great view of the area behind my truck.

Works well, but blue screens, for you FPVers.

For what it is, the price is right. Overall quality is acceptable and picture is good. It has 2 video inputs but none for audio, so some applications are limited. I bought it for a budget ground station project, trying to build one for under a bill. Project was a success, only the limitations of the monitor were the blue screen effect, it bothers some others deal with it, but in the case with this monitor it takes about one full second or more to regain picture after losing it. All analog video systems flicker so it would lose video even at fairly close range. It works for what it is, but if losing picture due to blue screen bothers you, look elsewhere. If you fly within close proximity with a decent antenna setup, you could get away with it. My two cents.

7" TFT screen, is it any good?

I decided to go with a larger screen for my project of building a handheld video game system. While looking on the Internet this one popped up and I read all the specs. At the time I wanted a screen with more resolution, however I settled on this one…..and I’m glad I did. Once setup, I put in Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64 and the colors were vibrant and resolution was perfect. I ended up ordering 3 more of these screens. The colors and picture quality is awesome.

Bought this to replace the broken CRT monitor in my motorhome. I mounted it in the dash and it works every bit as well as RV-specific units that cost hundreds of dollars. Instructions are basically useless, but it’s pretty easy to figure out on your own. One strange thing I noticed is that it has what look like two tiny speakers on the back and it has a volume control in the settings, but there doesn’t seem to be an audio input.
